Is there enough difference in weight between the stock piston and the 97mm piston to warrent having the crank re-balanced? What are the "crank maintainence issues" I've heard about with the YZF motor? Also, Rich or SFO if you still want the stock 400 crank let me know where to ship it, I'll have it out this week. Thanks.

I had my 97mm piston machined to within 8 grams of the oem 95mm piston.
Easiest thing to do for lighter weight is the oem wrist pin with the Wiseco piston, although I took the tool steel wiseco wrist pin and taper bored the ends @7degrees and got it to within a gram of the oem pin.
The piston machining is pretty time consuming though, after riding Zoomers machine with the stock wiseco set up at 444cc I really noticed no vibe difference although it is/was 60 grams over the oem weight.
I have been considering crank rebalancing for an 8K torque peak w/o the C./B, though... :p
