BBQ Dollars hit the mark.

For those who attendend the BBQ Pigout at DW03 and for those who will belly up to the trough this year, the proceeds have found their new home.
Last week, checks were written to 4 high school graduates in the form of $500 scholarships. DW03 proceeds provided 1 scholarship and the Grand Lodge of Oklahoma matched the money for a 2nd scholarship. A seperate fund raiser and matching funds provided the 2 additional scholarships. Winners were selected thru an essay contest judged by a committee in our lodge. We hope the funds will help the winners in their first year in college. Thanks to everyone for your support. Dirtweek was the second best fund raiser for us. Vidailia(sp?) onions topped the list. We sold them in conjunctions with the Shriners. We sold 1400 lbs this year. It would be sweet to top that at DW2K4! :cool:
