Hi! I've buyed an old 2000-YZ125 bike and I've found the carburetor (Mikuni TMXx36/SS) in a very bad shape.
I'm thinking to move up to a Keihin PWM38 carb (found used) that have a throttle valve #6 cutaway (#6.5 mikuni OEM).
Because of the different volume suppressor into the intake respect to newer YZ125 that have a TMXx38 carburetor, have I need also a YZ125 2001 or later carburetor joint + reed valve assembly?
If I will go ahead with its original reed assembly & carb joint, what will be the pro & cons?
Thanks in advance for your answers

Er..I've forgotten a question.
Can I install a Boyesen RAD valve for 1999 model (p/n 33D) instead of its RAD valve (p/n 33E)?
In case, how to fit the new PWM 38 carburetor?
Can I use a different boot, like RB-1 or RB-17?
