How to properly clean your carb seems to be a major issue especially in the mini forum so hopefully this thread will help. Cleaning the carb on your bike is way more involved that squirting some kind of cleaner on the outside and calling it clean. Pulling it off and pretty much doing the same thing except squirting some around the inside might even be a worse option. The only way to make sure that all the little passages and parts are not causing you a problem is to disassemble it and do a detailed cleaning and then careful reassembly. Sorry kids there is one way to do things correctly but many to do it wrong and doing it wrong can cause even more problems so either commit to this and follow it all they way through or take up something less complicated like hopscotch.

Since this has already been covered in great detail and fine pictures by somebody more qualified than 99.5 % of the population of the earth here is a link. http://www.eric-gorr.com/carb cleaning and jetting.pdf
click it read it all then follow it step by step. Do yourself a favor and buy the whole book http://www.eric-gorr.com/ as they are invaluable resources that will serve you on every bike you will own.

I have seen it in Barnes & Noble. You could always request your book seller to order it for you.
