clean bottom end help

hi I have a91 kdx 250 the bottom end failed and im going to attempt to rebuild the motor my self. I believe i have most of the tools and what not to do the job question i have right now is how do you guys clean all the shavings out of all the nooks and crannys bearings and things?

The only bearings in question are the ones you'll be replacing with the lower end. All the trans bearings are seperated from the crankcase. Just be sure to clean out the cases around the crankshaft very well before reassembly. You'll need a flywheel puller, heat gun and most likely a bolt grip puller set to get it apart. A gear wedge is nice to hold things while you loosen/torque them. Other than that a fairly basic set of tools should get you by.....

degreaser and compressed air thoruoygh wash and then reoil grease and assemble

New crank bearings and a new lower con rod bearing would be best in that case. Easy to do with a press. A little trickier when using freeze and heat method. There are good Vids in youtube on how to do a bottom end on a 2 smoker.
