Cleaning powervalves and cylinder bore...

Hey guys while I have my top end off, I heard you can soak it in diesel to clean everything? The powervalve is pretty dirty, and i tried some carb cleaner but it's just not doing the job. Any suggestions on what to use? Thanks!

Easy Off Oven Cleaner has proven to be very effective.

Thanks, I heard that as well... I will be picking up some of that. Also I want to flush out the crank case, someone told me use mineral spirits then turn the bike upside down and drain it then oil. Hopefully this thread doesn't get deleted like my others have for asking questions!
