[CR] Normal amount of smoke for a 2stroke?

I recently started my '96 CR250 after leaving it sit for about a week. The thing smokes like a beat poet on a friday night. :think: I thought it was normal since i left it sit for a while, but then i started it again today, and it still smokes horribly. It seems to run LOTS stronger , given that I cleaned the air filter, but smokes LOTS too. I mean, you can't see around you. It only smokes like that until it warms up though. Is this normal for a 2 stroke?

yea its normal sometimes the air filter oil can make it smoke a little more

Mine smokes like hell for a couple of minutes then cleans up. I guess it just needs to warm up.
