Deal on 2003 KTM125sx???

I came across an 03 KTM125sx for $1000 but it needs a rebuild. Are the ktm's expensive to rebuild or something? The bike is in great shape too!

Just thought I'd ask before I buy it and the parts cost me double what I pay for it.

Oh, and the motor does turn over with little compression. Maybe a rechrome? Couldn't get much info on how it blew since it was the guys kid that did it.

I have an '03 KTM 125sx, they are a very, very nice bike. lots of top end power, with a RAD valve from Boyesen it can have lot of bottom end too. Surprisingly though, they are not real expensive to rebuild. A Vertex piston is only about $90 dollars. I dont know if the crank will be good, sometimes they will go if they seize the top end. For $1000 dollars, after buying mine for $2000 I would buy that one any day. Also, they have a very good return rate, since looking at some on ebay selling for almost $3000. I dont know if it will be different, since I live in the USA, but i hope this advice helps you.
