Does anyone know this Nosie? cr250 Noise

02 cr250. i believe it just started.. kinda sounds like a playing cards hitting bike spokes, gets much louder when trans fill cap is off. oh and it doesn't go away with pulling in clutch, can only hear at idle its pretty loud but not loud enough to hear when on the pipe. anyone come across this before???

My first guess would be that the kickstarter gear is not retracting. I think it engages an idler gear that contacts the outer clutch basket but can't remember. I would try slapping the kickstarter around a little bit and see if it changes.
