I'm Currently riding a EXC400.

I'm experiencing some Rev problems on the bike... I need more revs in the bike... I seem to be able to full bore on the throttle but I've got to shift because I've maxed out the gear already.

I'm thinking about upgrading to a 2004 450SX CDI and a lighter flywheel.... maybe from trialtech?

I've got jetting problems also... its a very mixed feeling...
7.5L SX tank... before i hit into reserves... i can only do 65-70KM.... on a race pace... i could only do 40KM before reserve.

I live in Singapore so I guess it should be 0 sea_level kinda jetting rite?

what kinda mods would it take .... to make my 400 to rev like them?

wat can i do to make it rev like one?
Buy an SX,....

EXC motor is a long stroke engine and will never rev like the SX short stroke, but if you looking for a middle-of-the-road, you can turn the flywheel down to make it lighter, it will rev quicker, but not any higher. It will also be more prone to stalling in tight woods situation.

You can also install MXC or SX transmission (close ratio) and that will keep the rpm's more in the power curve. By the time you do all that, you might as well buy as SX.

Good luck and let me know what you decide
