flooded carb

hey guys,

so over the winter i rebuilt my yz490j engine and carb , since then i haven't had time to ride except for today,,, when i try to kick start it, it has spark and good compressing , but there's gas coming for the carb overflow?? what is going on ??

If it is from the float bowl overflow tube then you either have the floats not set correctly or the float bowl needle is worn.

ok thanks ill reopen it and double check

If it sat for a while the valve and seat could have gotten gummed up and are never fully closing.
