Flywheel Weights

I have a 2003 KX125, I ride wodds and I am going to start racing harescrambles this year. Is it worth the 90 bucks to buy a flywheel weight, and if so what weight 7 oz or 9 oz. Also should I get a vforce or a pipe first.

I think you will like it for the woods but not sure about racing. I put a 10 oz. on a kx100 went from 51 tooth to 54 tooth and really liked the combo. Did a real nice job of smoothing out that initial powerband hit. Wheel didn't spin uncontrollably in wet and loose soil. Seemed to have more lugging ability. Would still pick front end up with no trouble when shifting into 3rd.

I think some sort of flywheel weight is almost a must for running an mx bike in the woods. just my .02
