Fork tube repair

My upper (outer tube) tube has a small dent in it that is binding the forks at the last few inches of travel. Anyone know of someone that can fix this? I called Race tech and they don't do it or know anybody. I was thinking I might call one of those paintless dent removal co's , they have the tools to go in to through door jambs and might be able to do it? Any ideas?

You can use a small hone to get the high spot out. I have one mounted on a long rod and have done many of them that way.

There is a tool made for taking dents out of shotgun barrels sold by Brownell`s Gunsmith supply. It is too small for large fork tubes but easy to copy on a bigger scale by anyone with machine shop equipment.

If the dent is too deep to hone out one of these can get you going again.

The gunsmith sounds good, I think it's too deep for a hone , might take too much material off?
