Anybody with any experiance with a 1975 250 Alpina. My problem is Ihave no spark once I hook the green wire up to the taillite/brakelite harness. I know that they are intagrated into the ingnition. My ? is does the resister need to be isolated from the frame ground Since I have continuity on all green wires. The brake switch and resister are good. This a US model :bang: :bang:

Are we talking about a model 137?

The diagram that I'm looking at shows the resistor in parallel with the brake light (not grounded).

I can scan this diagram if you like. I'm not sure if it's specific to the 137 but I doubt that would matter. By the way, I have a blowed up 137 in the backyard. If it wasn't covered with snow I'd go look at the wiring.

Albuquerque hasn't seen this much snow since 1959. It's about half way melted now so I may be able to find the 137 this weekend.

Next time you have a Bultaco question you might get better results in the vintage forum. Lotta guys in there know more than me.
