Honda 450 ignition weak

06 Honda 450 has fire but just barely. Its consistent it fires everytime the engine turns over but its just very weak. It will only jump about the thickness of your fingernail. Maybe jump .01-.02 mm. I tried a new coil with no change. Would the CDI cause a problem like this or something else?

It's not unheard of for the stator to get weak and cause similar issues. But before testing that I'd look at all the connections closely and especially verify the ground path. Bad grounds on aluminum frames seem to be especially common.
