I READ THAT RYAN HUGHES USED A SHORTER PIPE THAN STOCK ON HIS FACTORY 450F. MY QUESTION IS HOW WOULD CHOPPING 4 INCHS OF MY STOCK PIPE CHANGE THE POWER DELIVERY ON MY BIKE AND HOW MUCH LOUDER WOULD IT BE? I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY FEEDBACK.
Ya thats a great idea, HRC doesn't know very much about tuning 4-strokes, they've only won more world championships than anybody else. Just cut the thing down to a 2 inch stub and epoxy a muffler from a Briggs & Stratton lawnmower. Now those guys know how to make an engine loud!
He was running a WORKS HRC pipe which is nothing like the stock pipe. along with a different tranny and a works frame. So don't waste your time cutting the pipe but if ya want I say go with the briggs pipe its the lightest. :silly:
