maybe a little more information might help...year, temperatures, altitude, riding type, etc. Also do a search, there have been too many "jetting" threads to mention.

    Here's what I'm running in my '02 250
Sea level 40-55 deg F, MX only, some Sand.
    30-73 2nd or top clip
    35 pilot
    410 main
air screw stock +- 1/4 turn

As you can see way richer settings than stock. The bike is stock. The 02 CR will scream up on top when you richen it up, it's like a different bike. Riding in the sand requires a rich setting too. The only battle is having a clean bottom end. I will never run anything less than a 400 main even when it gets to 90degF. I just change pilot back to stock and play with differnt needles and clip positions. I think if you start with limiting your main jets to a couple and make that your starting point the bike won't lose that top end. I've heard talk about running a 4.0slide (4.25 is stock) and also changing the brass part the needle goes into from an s9 to an s8. Not much help here, anyone?

    MAIN 390
    STOCK NEEDLE IN 2ND POSITION
    STOCK PIPE AND SILENCER
    AIR SCREW 11/4 OUT
    I'M 900' +- ABOVE SEA LEVEL
LAST TIME I RODE IT WAS ABOUT 55-65 DEG BIKE WAS ALITTLE RICH ON THE BOTTOM NEXT TIME I RIDE I'M PUTTING IN A 30 PILOT AND A V-FORCE REED VALVE.ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE PUTTING IN THE S8 NOZZLE HAVEN'T TRIED IT YET MAYBE WHEN IT GETS WARMER :think ANY THOUGHTS
