Chances are good it won't make ANY difference.

Get a Yamaha factory service manual for your bike. If you read & study it, you will learn the correct way to maintain your bike. We will be happy to answer any questions you have when reading it.

Note that even the Japanese have learned to use proper English when communicating to others. You will want to learn this, as well.

Your bike should not be fouling plugs. When you get the manual, read the section on "Tuning," and jetting (carb. adjustments,) will be covered. Then do a search here for "Two stroke jetting." You will find lots of good advice.

Good luck!

If you take the time to communicate like a literate adult, I think you'll find people will respond in kind.

Type like a nitwit and you'll likely get nitwit answers.

Your choice.

is there any other issues i should look for on the reeds besides the ones stated in the manual?

Power Now, no.. not really worth it. Whatever benefit they may provide would be almost impossible to really feel.

The reeds.. Cracked, chipped, or not seating on the reed cage, change them. Is the bike difficult to start? more than a couple kicks? if so, change them.

Stop asking about colored powerbands. It's not making you look very smart. (I'm feeling generous here, so trust me on this one)

as for your questions:

They are mythical creatures from a faraway land

probably not. Reeds are pretty simple: if they don't look like new, put new ones in.

they are worth it to the people who sell them. A gimmick.

If you buy Power Now inserts be sure and hit me up for some "Extra Power" fuel line to go along with them.

Since everybody is being generous I'll do my part. Powerbands as a physical part are about as easy to find as hens teeth. (there's an old school one for ya' guys!) Or a more modern spin would be they are the same as the "10" button on your phone.

HEY! I think I got ripped off.. My phone doesn't have a "10" button.
