A group of us are heading to Moab at the end of April and hope to catch the Jericho AMA race. We will be there on the day prior (friday) and want to know if we can ride the course that day?

Also what is the race format and who will racing? (Any big names?)

Thanks

Kwi

you mite be able to find a link on the www.ama-cycle.org site. if not give ama a call and ask for the promoter or clubs name for that event.

Kwi-Chang,

One can not pre-ride race course before the event.
For pre entry info go to: SAGE RIDERS

All the Factory big names will be there--it is a National.

Thw wife and I will be there doing sign up for the AMA and I will be riding.

The best part is to ride the course the day after, you can really rip until you find a closed gate or something but it is more fun because the trail is established and you don't need to slow down at corners and wonder which way to go.

Thanks KWJ - Looks like an awesome event...we will try to look you up when we are there! What class are you riding?

We will not be entering (unless someone loses a bet on the trip) as we heading back on the 29th, probably be worn out after 7 straight days of riding (but a good worn out), and also have tickets for the SX in SLC for the evening of the 28th.

Just in case -
How many hours drive is it to SLC from the race site?
Is there a party/get together planned for after the race?
Is there other places to ride around the area on the 27th?

Again, thanks

The area is about 1.5 hours from SLC.
You can ride anywhere out there but it would be best to stay off an ribboned trails. I thought you were wanting to pre-ride it and then race it.
There is trails all over the area.Plus sand dunes next door to play on.
I forgot about the SX the same day-- major screw up from the logistics dept.
Not sure about parties,, but I am sure there will be.
Over 40 Novice or Vintage if I can get the time to but my Triumph back together and do a shake down ride.
Do you know where it is? If you need more detailed directions let me know.
