KDX Shift Shaft

Hi guys I am a bit stumped I have searched around for the answer to this question but with no luck and checked with a few shops but no one has been able to help.
I cannot find a Shift shaft for my 1991 KDX200 so I was wondering if anyone knows wether a different year shaft might be compatable with mine?

Yes I have they wanted $249.00 for the shaft.
I have seen used ones on ebay for around $60.00. So I was hopeing to pick up a used on but I cannot find one for my year of bike.
