Today, I removed the carb on my KX100 and cleaned it(on the outside). I put it back on the bike and tried starting it. The bike starts but then immediatly dies. I'm thinking I got some dirt in the carb. What do you guys think?

If it ran fine before then yeah, you probaly knocked dirt inside and it is cloging a jet. Take the float bowl off and unscrew all the jets. Then spray carb cleaner or something through them to make sure no dirt is blocking the passage.

On the KX100 there is a white plastic shroud around the bottom of the main jet, it also shrouds the idle jet. It is the last thing that goes in before you put the bottom of the float bowl back on, and the first thing that falls out when you take it off, (hence possible to fail to see how it should align). It is hence possible to put this in wrongly, and it will affect running, worth checking this is OK.
