Troy Lee of Troy Lee Designs, along with two of the biggest names in the world of Supercross; Jeremy McGrath, and Chad Reed have partnered with Thor and Bell Helmets to raise money for the tsunami relief efforts.
Over the years Troy has custom painted a one-off helmet for Jeremy and Chad to wear at the season opening round of the AMA Supercross National Series. Jeremy and Chad are excited to donate their custom painted helmets towards an e-Bay auction benefiting the relief efforts. Each helmet will be signed by Troy Lee, as well as each racer at the conclusion of the Anaheim race this weekend.
All of the proceeds raised from the e-Bay auctions will benefit the American Red Cross International Disaster Relief efforts. The auctions will begin Monday, January 10 and will run for 10 days, ending on Jan 20, 2005. Winners will be announced on TLD's web site.
In addition to funds raised through the auctions, Troy and the staff at Troy Lee Designs are making cash contributions to the relief effort, which will be matched 100% by Troy Lee Designs.
