Awesome town, stuck in the civil war era, 85% of it is on the registry. Shiftless and Pokie live about 2 miles from that spot... We've spent 25+ years there at Christmas. A place where "Merry Christmas" still kicks "Happy Holidays" to the curb.

No joke there my friend. Since almost leaving us earlier this year, she has recovered VERY well... cooked all week, getting around very well and using the 02 very seldom. To be honest, I didn't think I'd see her out of that hospital.

Good to see Mom is doing well and a great time was had in the frozen north. My daughter was Iowa during the deep freeze. I don't know how people do it. It is too durn cold for me.

We were back there last week to spend time with my Dad, who's had a tough time since Thanksgiving. Stable now, but still not home.

The pre-Christmas chill and snow makes this 45 deg. weather sure feel good! I was sure reminded of what a pain in the arse a diesel can be in that kind of cold, (especially with fuel bought down south!) Got my fill of clearing snow, which had some nice ice layers mixed in. Our parting gift was the 4 hours of driving in the thick fog produced at the beginning of the warm-up last Friday evening.

Christmas was so special for our family, more so than ever. We are so grateful that mom is better than ever. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Gifts are good, but family is a blessing.
