Recently I read where a magazine writer, in 6 days, attended six of the major MX riding clinics hosted by the more prominent instructors. In the end, besides being sore and fraught with information overload, the writer disclosed that most all of the instructors had major disagreements over what constituted proper riding techniques. What Bailey touted as appropriate was dismissed by another as totally incorrect, while another discounted that instructors methods as hearesy.

Seems this isnt based on an exact science (in as much as any physical endeavor is, be it running, football, tennis, martial arts..) but relies more on the simple experience of the particular instructor and their success with the techniques.

That being said, has there been any formal studies done on the subject, say along the lines of what Keith Code has done for the skill of asphalt riding/racing?
