Anyone have any info about putting a T100c motor
in a BSA B-50 chassis ? Is it a bolt in job,or is there
a lot of mod's needed. I know the factory produced this
combination for about two years.
I race desert Hare-n-Hounds with it, the stock chassis
beats the dog snot out of me on the whooped out trails
these days and I am wanting more suspension so I can ride
standing on the pegs . Thanks in advance .

Installing a 500 Triumph twin in a B-50 frame is no bolt in.  The factory did build their own version, the Trophy Trail.  I would look for a complete Trophy Trail, or an aftermarket frame.  At the vintage MX in Hollister one year there was an Englishman riding Cheney T-100 that just went like stink.

Good luck and thanks for sticking with the old stuff.

My main concern is , will it take maajor modifications to the frame cradle?  If it will just mean weld new motor mount tabs etc that would be do-able. I just don't want to chop and stretch cradle.

Well, that's a drag !   I traded a BSA Rocket in a box that was burned up that I picked up for this rolling chassis. While I came out ahead in the deal it will take more work than I planned to do.  I found a spare 500
T100c motor that I will use instead of cannabilizing my desert bike. Thanks for all the info. I'm going to think  now about these extra Bonneville motors,   if I should just stuff one of them in that B50 ?
