Hey folks,

Kawasaki KX85
Just installed a new cylinder, piston and gaskets.
The compression reading on the new build is about 147.

The KX85 manual states between 119-185 is usable.
I also have one reed that does not sit completely flat at the moment. Not sure if this affects a compression reading though?

Should the compression numbers come up more than 147 as the rings and cylinder settle in?

Just curious.

Cheers

I think you will see the numbers come up as it breaks in. I have normally seen around 155 or better on our KX85's and 165-170 on our KX100's.
