hi,
i was wondering about racing classes, i was reading some mags and stuff about local races and i see classes, like beginner. Now does beginner mean, real beginner, limited skills and stuff, just starting out, or does beginner mean like you've been riding for years, really good but never raced formally.
I would like to try and race, wouldn't care if i finished last, but wouldn't want to be in a beginner class where the definition of beginner is different from my perception of beginner.

it really depends on the area you ride. in fact we only have C class here no beginner class. we try to keep the C class as the "true" beginner class.
I would suspect you have a big variance in class make up in CA.
