Not that I have had problems with overheating my 520, but I can sure feel the heat coming off the radiators! I have only had my bike for a month or so, but in the interest of prevention of potential problems of overheating I have found the following options from KTM. There is an overflow tank for the rads for around $104.00, and there is a thermostatically controlled fan that plugs directly into your existing wiring harness for about $146.00!! Has anybody used any of these? I will probably get the overflow tank, and wait to see if I need the fan. I know the rads were enlarged for 2001, so there must have been some cooling issues pop up somewhere.

I'm not positive, but I thought that oversize radiators were available for all KTMs. You might check with KTM hardware.

I think you're right. They're in the hard parts catalog. It'd be a waste of money on an 01 RFS, though, as they come from the factory with the larger rads installed.

Bonehead installed one on his '00 520, says it works "bitchin". The '00s don't have the same wiring harness and he had to heat form the tank to fit it. The '01s are set up for the fan really well but the fan weighs about a pound. It's thermostatically controlled.
