I have a 1974 Kawasaki KS 125 that I am in the process of rebuilding. I am going to bore the jug to fit a 25 over piston, and I am wondering if I cold shave the head down 5 or 10 or? thousands to increase my compression ratio. Would this be wise?
It depends on the total minimum clearance between the piston and head's squishband when the piston is at the top of the stroke. The standard spec for a 125cc bike is .040inches.
