My front brake began to squeek a couple weeks ago. I have noticed other KTM's do it to. I tried steel wool and sanding the rotor but it starts again right away. Anyone know the cause or a solution? Thank's

mine squeek to since day one
the dealer told me to buy some harder material aftermarket pads
it worked for most of it
they still squeek a little but nothing compared to before

I would have thought your dealer should have recommended softer pads not harder. Harder pads are more metallic and its the metal in the pads that cause the squealing. My 400 EXC front brake squeals too if it makes you feel better.

Just give it to the guy who keeps braking something every time he rides it. He's bound to get to the brake system sooner or later!!

Not sure if this applies here; Normally, the sqealing that you hear is from the pad vibrating in the caliper. There is a rubberized material that is painted to the back side of the pad to keep it from vibrating, (automotive store). I have never tryed it on a dirt bike, but I know it works on auto's.
