I have tested this bike. It is a decent entry level 125cc pit bike, the rear shock falls short of performance, same can be said for the swing arm is tubular steel. The forks are suprisingly good for not being adjustable. Otherwise the rest of the bike is solid except for the normal things, like controls and foot peg mounts. If you can swing it I would spring for the C-4 (I own this bike) I have had alot of success racing mine. Here is a video of my C-4 in action. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puWYzRpcf8I

Here is my review of my C-4

And here is a worth while upgrade to ANY pit bike with a CRF based frame

Why worry about the top speed on a short wheelbase bike with small wheels? I ride these things on a regular basis and have yet to feel the urge to go to the salt flats and attempt a top end run. :)

im actually looking into buying a pit bike. Is this a good idea for my first bike ever? Dont mean to hi jack the thread but is there a good resource for pit bikes? My buddy's all have the cheap chinese bikes(shiniray, etc). They are all having problems with them including my roomies clutchless tranny just locked up. Thanks for all the info guys. That ssr bike looks really nice btw!

If you are looking to just mess around with your buddies on their pit bikes then sure it's a good choice. If you aspire to bigger things and can affort both a mini & a pit bike then maybe not. There are PLENTY of minis from China out there that LOOK like some of the better quality bikes but disappoint those that buy them with various low quality part failures. There is a much smaller number of minis from China that offer a good quality product but they are out there. Basically it's you get what you pay for and if you get a bike for $1,000 and looks like a $2,200 bike you got just that, one that LOOKS the same. I'll tell you right now there is a bike offered by an auction site seller that LOOKS a lot like out Pit Viper Pro but if you check the details it becomes aparent it's not even close. For what they are selling their bike for we can't buy our bikes and get them shipped!

Look for a good quality bike from somebody that backs what they sell with parts and support.

Now for a little spam, if you want a quality bike let ME know. We're Pit Viper MX, we support this site and we have bikes and parts available.
