Hello all. I have an older bike that I restored on my own. Great learning project it has been. It's an 89 yz250. Haven't rode it too much lately...but when I did the most recently, it seemed as though it was putting off a lot more heat against my legs than what I remember.

Can I use my fluke pyrometer with surface probe attachment to see if I am running too hot? I know that you can look at the plugs and tell too...but I just wonder if I can come in...get a quick check...and if all is good....keep on going. Where would I take the readings on the motor?

Thanks in advance.

Unless you have some solid point of reference to compare against, you aren't likely to come up with any concrete answers.
