I just replaced the crank and top-end on my son's '01 kx 65. After getting it back together and warming it up to operating temp, I notice that coolant was seaping from between the cylinder and crankcase right below the exhaust. I pulled it back apart to inspect and could not figure out how coolant could be coming from that location. It appears that the coolant enters on the side and exits from the top, coming nowhere near the bottom of the cylinder. Is just a matter of not getting a seal from the base gasket, or is it possible that I have an internal crack that is allowing coolant to go were it is not supposed to. Bike never smoked and the plug was a nice tan/chocolate brown. Help, my son is driving me crazy to ride!
