Hi Guys I have noticed something with my topend which might have somthing to do with my topend problem.
Looking at this picture I am not sure what this part if but its on the barrel of my engine, it looks to me that thier should be a locating pin in the hole in the barrel where the groove in the arm locates onto.
Or is that how its meant to be?

Thanks

Year and model? That is the powervalve linkage. Need more info to determine if anything is gone/broke/normal.

those bikes have rotating drums powervalve, is not suposed to have any pins, the valve must move freely up and down (the arm) with sintony with the engine rpm. that pin is there so you can unscrew the center bolt, and, to align the powervalve.
