I recently got a 2006 CR125R, and I absolutely love the thing. problem is, when I start to accelerate and move into higher gears on the street the engine seems to "pump" for a moment, and then it'll return to being smooth as ice. it does this a lot, and I'm not sure what to do. I'm new to 2 strokes, so I don't know much. the bike only has 6 hours on the top end. any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Can you define "pump" a little more?

I'll try haha but it seems like the bike gives out and buckles. when this happens the bike stops accelerating, kind of like I've lost all power, and then start back a few moments later. It somewhat sounds like it's in idle, but much louder.

While you are accelerating and it runs into your problem does it get better if you back off the throttle a little bit?
