Viewing EXIF Data

This is a great little extension for Mozilla Firefox users that allows you to view the exif data of a posted photo with a single right click.

This is of course dependant on the original poster of the photo keeping the exif data intact during post processing.

I thought about copying and pasting that info when I had my lighting question. How does one save it in order to keep the EXIF data once it's been processed in Photoshop or whatever?

Usually unless you intentionally strip the exif or use "save for web" it will stay intact. I don't have PS with me at work to check if there is a setting in the save dialog about retaining exif data.

Man, that was fast. Thank you. Now all I have to do is figure out how to update my profile and edit my avatar.

The program I use to view exif info can be found here http://ak.no-ip.com/EXIF/index_en.htm

After you have it installed, all you do is right click on a picture, then select View Exif. Simple as pie.

I am still running Photoshop 5.0 and I have not INTENTIONALLY stripped the EXIF data, but I noticed that it doesn't show up after I've edited my pics. Any chance my version is too old and doesn't know what EXIF is? :think:

PS CS2 is in the plans for me. :)
