Of late my engine was starting to heat up even though the radiator was failry cool. So I opened the water pump and was surprised to see that I could pull the impeller out - it was simply held on with a press fit and some glue/threadlocker.
Looking at the impeller shaft hole, there did not seem to be any splines or key/notch to force it to rotate lock-step with the shaft. I bought this bike used, so I'm not sure if the prev owner jacked with it (seems unlikely). Could someone please shed some light on how this thing is supposed to attach to the shaft?
