I just started reading "Survive" by Les Stroud. Good stuff to know in case you have to spend the night stuck in the desert or woods.

Before that I read - The Audacity of Hope. Interesting read.

I'm in the middle of The Great Frontier by Walter Prescott Webb. It was written in 1951 and it is spooky how much of the crap we are going through now is discussed in the book. It is not a simple read, and I usually stop and ponder after a few pages. This is clearly a book that I will have to read again to really appreciate and understand.

Dude, just checked into "Patriots" on Amazon . . .

you have no idea how "middle of nowhere" Moscow is, and Bovill is even more nowhere than me! A lot of people like to drive another 17 miles out of Bovill to Elk River, because the highway ends there.

So what did everybody quit reading?

I just finished G.W. Bush's book as well as Donald Rumsfeld's... Both good reads, though Don was a little long winded. The presidents book was most excellent. Clearly not the dunce the lefties portrayed him to be.

Now I'm reading:

The Miracle of Freedom: Seven Tipping Points That Saved the World

By:
Chris and Ted Stewart.

The history in this book is amazing...

I just finished reading Evel: The High-Flying Life of Evel Knievel: American Showman, Daredevil, and Legend by Leigh Montville. It was actually pretty good and really got into the dirt. I was that kid that idolized Evel and now that I know what was going on behind the scene I wonder how he made it as far as he did. Good book.
