What flywheel weight for a '01 KTM M/XC 400?

Last weekend while I was riding my new scoot I stalled the bike twice while going through some technical stuff, which wasn't a real big problem since I have that e-button & just hit it while I was still rolling, but I would like to add a flywheel weight to it so this stops happening but I don't know what size to buy. Anybody have any suggestions or experiencing the same problem?

Thanks!

I don't know if anyone makes a FWW for the KTM thumpers. I hadn't heard anyone ask so far.

I'd suggest trying:
-Turn up the idle speed a bit
-Adjust the rear brake pedal and/or engagement point down
-Get used to the brakes if this is your first newer KTM
-Change your gearing. What gearing are you running and what kind of terrain?

jeb, thanks for the pointers. I will try turning up the idle speed first since this seems to be the easiest thing. I am still getting used to the brakes since this is my first KTM and I was riding a TTR225 before that had really poor brakes. I am currently running the stock gearing, I have only had the bike about three weeks now. I don't have problems with the bike stalling while riding in normal desert terrain, (sand, whoops, etc.)it stalled when I was going slow down hills.

I think adjusting your brake pedal height and increasing idle speed will cure the stalling.Rear brake has tendency to lock up on downhills going slow.

KTMster, I see you are running stock sprockets,(14/48or50).
At slow speeds this gearing will require alot of clutch play to keep it from stalling. I would first try a 52 or 53 rear sprocket. It makes a big difference.

Shaw520: You are right, it has taken a lot of cluth play to keep it from stalling when going at a slow pace & then still stalled. I will try a 52 or 53 rear sprocket.

On another note, if you are on a KTM520, I don't know what you do with all that power. Out of hundreds (plural) dez racers, I think I have only seen possibly two to three KTM 520s. That is one FAST bike! Be careful. I don't think I'll ever get my little 400 out of 5th, much less 6th.
