I was wondering if anyone knows the reason behind Australia not hosting a round of the World MX GP this year? The previous two held in Broadford Victoria were very successful.

Is it due to financial reasons in Australia, or on behalf of the teams/riders travel costs?

Anyone know?

G'day Grinch,
Apparently the FIM? subsidises the teams travel to foreign countries.
Australia was too far away and all on its own so holding the round here was considered uneconomical.
M.A. had no problems holding another round, but it was out of their hands.
I attented both, and had a great time, man I'm bummed.
No thumpers at Barrabool this year either. :(
