I am new the the wonderful world of KTMs. I just got a 400 M/XC Thursday. But, I keep seeing the initials "RFS" and I am wondering what that stands for?

while the actual "RFS" designation is racing four stroke, i would have to agree and say "really fast sob". And remember this KTM stands for Klimb that Mountain.

Since I live in SoCal I thought it meant something like "Rad For Sure" or "Really Freakin Speedy"

Yeeeeeeeeee ha! All your comments are great, but I especially like the ones about a "Real fast SOB" and "Klimb that mountain" That is what I was hoping I got when I bought it--Hey, check it out I made a rhyme or I'm a poet and you didn't know it. Sorry, I'm still beside myself since I bought this thing. I guess I'm plum out of excuses for bad bomb starts now, hmmmm.....

I had many ideas :

Really fast stroker...
Rocket for speedfreak...
Riceburner for sale...( bye bye XR!!)
Racer friendly speedster...
Ride for satisfaction...
Results finally speaking....

....it's late i figure that's enough!!!!

Hey 2dogs, I hope you're not talking about too much money. This is my first KTM, but it is so rippin fast that, YES, it would still be worth it. When I first started racing years ago I used to pass the same guy all the time on a KTM who was broke down, but my husband has assured me that KTM has come a long way since then.
