What is this and where did it come from?

I'm not quite sure where this came from, it's hard plastic and it's not obvious what it was. I found it inside the left case cover under the fly wheel. It kind of looks like it could have come off the stator but I don't see anything obvious. Bike was locked up when I took it apart but it isn't now. Any suggestions?

Hi to you too ole great one, it's been a while.

I finaly have the answer to what it is. Take a real close look and notice the little ball on the ends of two of the peices, is it starting to look familiar yet? I'll give a hint, Honda uses them to hold cables and harnesses together and there happed at one time to be one just above the valve cover. Someone wasn't paying attention when they checked the valves last would be my guess. Puzzle solved. I still ordered the tensioner guide Rich.

Ha! I was going to say they almost looked like zipties that got ground up but I dismissed it because they don't use no zip ties inside the engine! ! :)
