Will an XR280 get 80 miles to a tank?

I've got an '86 XR280R with one step richer jets in the main and pilot. I'm riding a dual sport ride (80% dirt) with 80 miles between gas. I'll ride at an easy pace. Will I make it?

It has been my experience, you will go 60-70 max. Granted I had never rode easy, to specifically see how far I could go. Just carry a crossbar canteen, or a small gotorade bottle or smiliar, in a pack. Put it in as soon as you can. A trick to keep the pressure from building and causing leakage, is to literally fill the container completly full to eliminate any air cavitie.

On dual sport rides, I would go 85 miles before hitting reserve on my '90 XR280 with one step richer than stock on main and pilot jets. You will generally get much better mileage on a dual sport ride than a trail ride. However, lots of highway miles at 60+ mph will actually reduce your range; cruising at 35 - 40 mph is great for your mileage.
