yz, as a general rule all motocross bikes top out at 60-70 mph. But thats not very important. What matters is how fast it reaches top speed!

250's top 78:) but yeah, dont worry about the top speed.. worry about carrying that speed on the track. and whatever anyone tells you, dont beleive that you wont get outta 4th gear on an MX track.. a kid here on a CR80 was pinned in 6th gear trying to do a 110 foot uphill triple and he hit the face of the landing and it popped his front tire.. :aj:

They will go as fast as you can overcome resistance or friction. It also is directly related to how much you spend. To be honest like the other guys said it doesnt really matter as you can gear it up to the moon and it might go a million miles an hour but the time it took to get there I will have beaten you by walking, maybe crawling. Thats why a Indy car can do 300 mph but it would be a pig on a MX track. So the 80 would be "faster" than the Indy car. If its a "A is faster than a Y thing between friends at school tell them its a bit more complex than just X mph....................
