Hey I'm new here so please be gentle !!

We run flat/dirt track. Stock carb has been massaged and machined.National level VPEracing motor.

RunningVP MR8 nastey fuel at 38:1 oil.
45 pilot and 138 main , stock needle pos #2. Runs ok but low and mid range could be allot better.
Tried #48 pilot , with a 135 main , then a 138 main ,, did not run that well.
I'm thinking about trying the kxNAPE needle in it , it's supposed to be leaner and smooth things out .
Any thoughts ?????
