YZF400 timing chain

My high mileage '99 has NEVER been apart other than checking valve clearances. Now I see an article were they are having some issues with timing chain breakage on 250F's. I was just wondering if this is something I should be worried about.

Gary - The chain is cheap and it's easy to replace. Do yourself a favor and change it. ;)

Thanks guys! I'll replace the chain in the off-season. Is there anything else I should be concerned about? I'll be checking valve clearances, and replacing the plug.
