Over the past decade, I have had the opportunity to set up more than 40 of my own full sized dirt bikes. During that time, I have also had the opportunity to help my buddies set up some of their bikes. When you count those bikes, and my kids bikes, I’ve set up more than 60 dirt bikes in the last 10 years. I’ve had the chance to rub shoulders with full and part time motorcycle mechanics, riding professionals, and long time enthusiasts along the way. The concepts and ideas in this video series are a compilation from all of those sources. The list is ever growing and evolving. I’ve put things on my list and taken other things off over the years. Not every bike needs all these things. I tailor the list to the bike that I’m working on.
Please don’t feel like you have to do everything on this list. Your needs are likely different from mine, and that is okay. Look at it as primer for things you might want to address on your bike with your needs.
