hi, I currently have a 2001 CR250, I have been offered a brand new cylinder of a 2002 CR250 for a good price, what I am wondering is will this be identical to my current 2001 Cylinder? I know the 01 is known for its great engine and good power spread, if I put the 2002 cylinder on my 01 engine would it run any differently? My current cylinder has a small score mark and if the cylinders were identical I would prob buy this and keep mine as a spare. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
;)

I believe they are totally different since in 02 honda went with the case reed design with the servo motor power valve. I think you would be far better off just getting your current jug bored or replated since the 01 cr motor is touted as one of the best.

Won't work. Completely different cylinders/cases, etc.

Either buy a new cylinder for an '01 or get yours fixed and replated.
