was told that this screw was idle ajustment, but later was told idle was adjusted by cable,need to know how many turns out from screw wound fully in to put air mixture screw in corect position.

henny, do you like your 01 cr250? there is a new carry over at our shop i think i want,,do you think your bike had good bottom power?

do you have a clymer manual for your bike? that may help,, i think your supposed to start from the stock postion, and turn your idle screw in so that your bike will go dead in about 3 seconds, then turn your air screw out enough so that it wont go dead anymore.. or maybe i have it backwards..can anyone verify this?

Start it at about 1.5 turns out and then fine tune from there.

Your idle adjustment is a phillips type screw with a lock nut on it slightly above and forward of the air screw.
