Sounds like a great deal!! My '03 KDX220R listed at $4600. I paid $4400. They probably haven't changed much in 2 years anyway. I'd grab it!!

Treb, Did you buy it yet. If not, who has it and where is it as I will. Cheapest I can find around Philadelphia is $3990 and it is an '03. Since th '01 is no different ( green tank instead of black ) the deal is too good. Get it now.

Only the color, otherwise unchanged.

The only change (and I am not sure) might be the plating in the cylinder. I read a post from Eric Gorr that said Kawi developed a new design for 03. Not sure if kdx is part of it. Here is the post below..

No i'm positive the frame is different for '03 it is based on the kx frame which is new for '03, check out www.kawasaki.com
